“Gujarati folk is not just my music – it is my language of storytelling.” From singing Dayro at the age of seven to performing worldwide, my journey has always been rooted in love for Gujarat’s literature and living traditions. I blend classical training with the soul of rural poetry, creating music that feels both familiar and fresh for today’s listeners. Over the years, I’ve performed more than 1500 shows, produced unique concept concerts, and collaborated with legendary artists who shaped our cultural landscape.
My work is driven by a constant desire to reinterpret folk for the new generation — not by changing its essence, but by giving it the space, sound, and sensitivity it deserves. Alongside music, I co-founded Varso, a craft-forward initiative that preserves Gujarati heritage through handwoven textiles and artisan-led design. Whether on stage or in the studio, my focus remains the same: to keep our stories alive in a way audiences can truly feel and connect with.
My vision is to cultivate a vibrant ecosystem for Gujarati folk where music, literature, craft, and community coexist with equal respect and relevance. I aim to preserve the depth of traditional poetry while presenting it with modern sensibilities so younger audiences can understand, enjoy, and carry it forward.
Through live shows, curated productions, and research-driven content, I hope to expand the presence of Gujarati folk on global stages and digital platforms. My mission is to create work that celebrates our identity, empowers artisans, inspires learning, and builds cultural pride. By bringing innovation into tradition, I want to ensure that the voice of our folk never fades instead, it finds new meaning, new listeners, and new life.
